parents: Writing, My Systems

I was stuck between the pressure for perfect, public articles and the need for a free, private space to think.

My solution is a system of distinct spaces for thought, it includes 4 layers.

  1. Local Vault (The Soil): Fleeting notes, raw inputs, and random sparks. This is the most private layer, the soil where everything begins.
  2. Digital Garden (The Seedling): Promising ideas from the vault are moved here to be nurtured. I connect them with other notes and let them grow without the pressure of an audience.
  3. Newsletter (The Test Flight): A more mature idea from the garden is shared with my community. It’s a test to see if the idea can resonate and survive in the wild. See more at Newsletter = public exhibition.
  4. Knowledge Base (The Forest): The strongest, most-tested ideas are planted here. They become permanent, structured articles that form an interconnected forest of knowledge.

This system gives me both freedom and structure.

It follows the principles in Lifecycle of a Thought and It’s a Cycle, Not a Line.
